Hello Friends,

We’ve put together this GoFundMe to raise money to help with the medical expenses that have been incurred over the past year, while Eric has been undergoing treatment for stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. Donations will go towards paying down this medical debt, and ongoing treatments.

Eric Lovell is a well known and much loved member of the Charlotte, NC music scene, and throughout the southeast region. As a life long, full time musician he has worked with countless other musicians as instructor, band leader, frontman, sideman, recording engineer, producer and composer for nearly 40 years.

Since his diagnosis, he has undergone brain surgery, numerous radiation treatments for tumors that spread to his brain, lungs, and spine, along with a year of aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. With the support of our bandmates in the Thurston Howell Band, he has been able to continue to tour, and perform over the past year. While he continues treatment, he has decided at this point it’s best to take some time off from performing to rest, recover and heal. And I, being his only caregiver, will be taking this time off as well.

We are so grateful for our incredible support network that has surrounded us from the beginning and has helped us navigate these very uncertain waters. We appreciate any and all donations.
