Hi, my name is Ashlee Vitz, and I am fundraising for my dear friend, Eric Wilburn. We've been friends since 2005, and for the past seven years, he has been a beloved cast member of The CritShow podcast, bringing joy and entertainment to so many!
Right now, Eric is facing a serious medical situation. He has a major umbilical hernia that requires surgery as soon as possible to prevent further complications. Despite the clear medical necessity, the procedure is being classified as "elective" because it is not immediately life-threatening—meaning his aid request has been denied, leaving him with no viable way to get the care he desperately needs. The surgery costs approximately $11,000, and he must come up with at least half of that upfront just to move forward.
For months, he has been waiting on a process that was supposed to take only a few weeks, and in the meantime, his health and ability to function in daily life are deteriorating. The stress, uncertainty, and financial burden are overwhelming. He would never ask for this on his own, but our boy needs help! The reality is that no one should have to choose between their health and their financial stability.
This is where we come in. If you have ever laughed at one of his jokes, been moved by his words, or simply believe that no one should have to suffer due to a broken system, please consider donating. Every little bit helps, and together, we can ensure he gets the surgery he needs to reclaim his health and quality of life.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
