Eric Voss passed away tragically in an accident on Saturday. He was a beloved son, brother, spouse, friend and colleague. He was kind, funny, courageous, and loyal. His employer, California Highway Patrol, writes this:
"Officer Voss, a member of CTC II-19, was a respected colleague and a valued member of the CHP family," CHP's post said. "His dedication to public service, professionalism, and commitment to others left a lasting impact on those who served alongside him. "
This fundraiser is for Eric’s fiancée, Emily, to help support her through this terrible time as she deals with the logistics of his untimely death. Emily and Eric met in college, and have been together for 10 years. They were planning to wed in June. The past few years have been deeply challenging for Emily: she lost her brother in 2021, then she experienced medical crisis herself involving a liver tumor, and for the past year her mom has been fighting advanced ovarian cancer. Throughout all of this, Eric has been Emily's rock, and together they maintained strength and optimism. His death is an indescribable loss for her.
We hope to give Emily some financial breathing room as she begins to process all the ways his passing will change her life and is forced to reimagine a future without him. Thank you so much for your help towards this goal.
This Gofundme is organized by Emily's brother Jordan Rich and cousin Elizabeth Yancelson. All donations will be directly deposited to Emily's account.
