Hi everyone,

Our best friend, partner, coworker and all-around amazing human Eric Tierney has recently and unexpectedly been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

The cancer was accidentally discovered during a routine exam, and now Eric is navigating insurance claims, multiple doctors visits and surgery - not the way he planned to wrap up 2024.

Our small valley does not provide the specific services Eric needs, so he will be traveling for his care. Information and exact timelines are still being ironed out, but he will no doubt need the support and love of his community throughout this emotional and scary time.

While the prognosis for this type of cancer is favorable and Eric is otherwise very healthy, there is still a lot of unknown at the moment. We have no idea what the total cost of this whole endeavor will be, but any amount you can donate would be much appreciated.

Please do not feel obligated to participate financially- we love food too :) - but in all seriousness, we really appreciate whatever you feel moved to contribute. Suddenly being thrust into this situation is disorienting enough, let alone navigating the turbulent world of medical insurance/ bills - not to mention a life-altering diagnosis.

Eric is so lucky to have such a wonderful community and deep network of support.
