Help Eric Save Lenny: Emergency Vet Bills

This fundraiser is to assist in a coworker's (Eric) unexpected and exponentially rising veterinary bills for his beloved 8-year-old chocolate lab, Lenny.

Over Eric's birthday weekend, which was also Memorial Day weekend, Lenny developed significant swelling in his abdomen that led to a Memorial Day rush to Bozeman emergency veterinary care. It was found that Lenny's spleen had grown to the size of a football almost overnight. Lenny was rushed into surgery to have his spleen removed and sent home a couple of days later.

Within a week of the surgery, Lenny developed a hot spot on his chest, where his fur began to fall out to reveal a red spot. Eric was given some home treatment options, but when the spot began weeping, Lenny was again rushed back to Bozeman emergency veterinary care, where he was again put under and opened up to reveal extensive dead tissue. The cause was unknown, but the dead tissue was removed, and he was stitched up and sent home with care instructions.

But in yet another bad turn, the sutures failed, leaving an open chest wound. For a third time, Lenny was rushed back to Bozeman emergency veterinary care, where he was hooked up to vacuums in his chest to continue removing fast-spreading dead tissue. Lenny remains under veterinary care, unsure of what his fate is with multiple mysterious ailments.

This has amounted to somewhere near $15,000 in veterinary bills, and Eric is still unsure if Lenny will make it through, and my hope is that we can at least take the stressor of this large amount of money off his chest, while continuing to hope and pray for Lenny to pull through.
