Help Eric Recover from a Life-Altering Accident

On May 21st, 2021, Eric Bollinger's life took a devastating turn. While riding his motorcycle home from work, a truck suddenly turned left in front of him, leaving him with no chance to react. The collision resulted in severe injuries, including both hands and wrists broken, a shattered elbow, arm bones, and a femur. He also suffered broken ribs, a punctured lung, and lost several teeth. Sadly, his motorcycle was completely totaled.

As a self-employed individual, these injuries forced Eric to close his business and sell off most of his assets, except for his home. After enduring twenty-six months of surgeries and recovery, he still faces more surgeries and we pray he can walk without assistance. His wife had to find work, but her skill set cannot match Eric's former income. Their home now has minimal equity, and they're at risk of foreclosure due to mounting bills and groceries becoming unaffordable. Despite receiving some financial aid from family and friends, it falls short of covering their essential expenses.

Eric applied for social security disability twenty months ago, but his application was denied, and he is currently going through the appeals process. He also applied for the Texas Crime Victims’ Compensation Program and is awaiting a determination.

Adding to their hardship, it was revealed that the other driver involved in the accident was alcohol-impaired. He carried only the minimum liability coverage, which was quickly exhausted in the ER, and shockingly, he has his assets in his mother's name despite being in his thirties. He is still awaiting a court date for the criminal charges related to the collision.
