Hi Everyone,

My name is Kelly Deth, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my childhood friend, Eric Powers. Recently, he experienced a devastating medical emergency that resulted in the amputation of both legs. This has turned his world upside down, and we’re asking for your help as Eric begins the long road to recovery.

A few months ago, Eric was admitted to the hospital after complications with a bacteria infection (Necrotizing Faciitis). Despite the doctors’ best efforts, the only way to save his life and contain the infection was a double leg amputation. Eric has sustained multiple operations and painful procedures to be able to make his way home.

While we’re incredibly grateful that Eric is alive and home, the challenges ahead are immense. The medical bills alone are overwhelming — hospital stays, multiple surgeries, medications, physical therapy, prosthetics, and ongoing care are adding up quickly.

In addition to medical costs, Eric will need to modify his home for accessibility. Every donation will go directly toward:

Medical and hospital bills

Rehabilitation and physical therapy

Prosthetic limbs and mobility equipment

Home modifications and accessibility needs

Daily living expenses during recovery

How You Can Help:

Any amount — no matter how small — will make a difference. Even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach more people who might be able to help.

Eric has always been a kind, hardworking, giving person — with a great sense of humor and artistic ability. Now, it’s our turn to give back and show him that he is not alone on this journey.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, and support. ❤️

— Kelly Deth and friends
