My 18 year old son Eric was shot in the spine on 6/18/24 by a drive by shooter while helping someone change their flat tire. The bullet entered his spine and shattered four vertebrae, punctured his lung, ruptured his spleen, broke his rib, and hit his stomach in multiple places. He is now paralyzed from the waist down and the doctors say he has no chance of walking again. He has undergone three surgeries already and will attend a long term (a month) rehabilitation program at the hospital. Before he gets home, we need to build a ramp so he can get in the house, get him a bed, and a wheelchair, and whatever else he needs for his new life. We are also paying to drive 3 hours to and from the hospital everyday in addition to paying for parking at the hospital which is adding up quickly.
