Help Eric Overcome Housing Challenges for College
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
My name is Eric McLaughlin, and I am a rising senior at Benedict College from Washington, DC, majoring in sports management. With a lifelong passion for sports, especially baseball, I aspire to become an athletic trainer for a professional team.
Over the past three years, living in the dorms has presented several challenges. I've faced issues such as mold on my bedding, clothes, and even headphones, which has exacerbated my asthma. The dorms also lacked consistent hot water. Despite these and other obstacles, I’ve persevered and continued to focus on my academic and professional goals.
As I approach my senior year, I am confronted with a new challenge. Due to overcapacity in the dorms, a large incoming freshman class, and ongoing renovations, I need to secure off-campus housing. To cover these additional costs, I will be managing a full course load of 20 credits while working to support myself.
I am reaching out to ask for your support in helping me achieve my academic and career goals. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference in my ability to continue my education and pursue my dreams.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Eric McLaughlin.
