Help Eric on his road to recovery

Hi my name is Jessica and I come to you today asking for some help. The help that I ask of is not for me but for the father of my daughters.

As many of you know, Eric was in an accident in July. He broke several bones and due to injuries and some swelling on his spinal cord, he is having to do extensive therapy in hopes of being able to walk again. While he is making strides already in his recovery, we are now at a crossroad.

Eric’s hip bone is not healing as fast as we had hoped it would so the current diagnosis and non weight bearing restrictions that he has are currently keeping him from doing more extensive therapy. The doctor wants to keep the no weight bearing restrictions on for 4 more weeks to allow the bone to heal properly.

Here in lies the problem. His insurances that he currently has only allowed for 20 days of stay and we are now well past the 20. Should he chose to stay in the assisted living facility he is in, he would have to pay out of pocket $180 a day or go to live with someone and still have to pay for 24 hour care due to his limited ability to provide daily self care for him self. The safest and best option for him would be to stay at the facility he is currently in but financially it is putting a strain.

So I humbly ask for help from ALL of the people in Erics life to kindly donate anything you can. Even if it’s only a a few dollars, that’s a few dollars closer to helping get the quality care he needs during this recovery.
