Help Eric’s Parents Provide a Funeral for Eric Hanson

My name is Laura Hanson-Elliott. My husband, Dan, and I are fundraising for our son, Eric Hanson. We are raising money to cover funeral expenses after he passed unexpectedly on October 30, 2025.

As some may know, when Eric was two-years old, he was left with quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, and anoxic brain injury due to a near-drowning accident.

On October 28, 2025, I, his mother, found Eric unresponsive. Eric fought as hard as he could to stay alive but passed on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Eric donated his organs to save the lives of others.

During the years after Eric’s accident, his medical care was very extensive. His mother was unable to maintain a job due to Eric’s high level of care, and she spent the last ten years providing his care.

Our family needs help with funds to provide Eric with a funeral. The funds raised will be used specifically for Eric’s funeral:

• $4,630 funeral expenses, which includes

o Staff/Overhead expenses

o Embalming and Preparation

o Transportation

o Casket

o Digital Tribute

o Death Certificates

The Hanson-Elliott family needs the funds by December 15, 2025, to ensure we can fully cover the cost of Eric’s funeral service.

We are encouraged by the support we have already received, but we still need help reaching our fundraising goal of $4,630.
