Hello! I am doing this fundraiser to help me pay for DJ SCHOOL over the next 8 months.

WHY am I going to DJ School & why am I asking for help?!

(I am writing this description on my 58th birthday, and reflecting on how grateful I am with what I’m doing, and what I want to do next.)

-Many of you know me as a visual artist. Music is my other art form, and I have made a commitment to take it further , to use this skill to build community & create transformative dance spaces. This is the most excited I have been about learning in a long time!

How will this fundraiser help & where will

the money go?

- I am paying my tuition monthly, this fundraiser will pay a portion of this and allow me to focus on the learning. I have already started school this month and made the commitment. I am already facilitating community music events that I feel are much-needed, and very excited to bring what I learn back to the community.

As many of you know, I have started community oriented fundraisers for others in need. Recently I had multiple friends encourage me to do this for myself. I sat with this for a while before deciding to do it, as I feel vulnerable putting myself out there like this asking for help, and I wanted to feel good about what I was asking for.
