Hurt and damaged, Eric needs our help

On early Thursday morning Eric was sleeping in his home of many years, an older white van in the heart of Ballard. He is a well known street artist who has been known to play in fount of the Ballard QFC, as well as Ballard marked and the Seattle Center.

At around 3:00 a.m. he was woken up by a man pulling him out of the van by his hair and shaking him like rag doll against the trees and his van. The man grabbed one of Eric’s guitar, one that he used to bring joy to the community and help pay his bills.

Eric’s head was smashed into the windshield of his van twice. The man then took Eric’s guitar and used it to smash his left eye. Police were finely called and they had to transport Eric to Harbor View Medical Center. This is where her under went a 6 hour surgery to save that eye. Only now he is being told he may never regain the sight in that eye again.

Eric suffers 3 Fractured rib’s, a cracked Vertebrae in his lower back as well as multiple contusions, concussion, and messed up knees.

His van is no longer drivable, due to all the damage caused that night. We are asking for help to please give him a safe place to call his own... help with his medical expenses and to get him back on his feet again. This type of crime is unthinkable yet it happens everyday... please share the love and let him know we care.
