We're asking for help for our brother Eric, who is beginning his journey to wellness after a lengthy and debilitating illness. Eric is a devoted Christian who dedicates his life to helping others. He works as a peer support specialist for veterans, is an integral part of the praise and worship team at his church and has given witness to many in the course of his faith.

 

In December 2021 he was admitted to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua with kidney failure and COVID 19.  He was placed on a ventilator and put in a medically-induced coma for 16 days. He was transferred to Strong Memorial Hospitial in Rochester. where he has endured three surgeries to repair his painful bedsores, and is receiving regular dialysis. He desperately wants to return to his work and church life but has a challenging road ahead.

 

Eric hopes to leave the hospital soon and will stay with a friend during his initial recovery. He has exhausted his sick leave and vacation time and needs our support over the next few months until he is well enough to return to work.
