Help Support Eric and Mandy During This Difficult Time

In August of this year, my sister Mandy and her husband Eric were on a weekend family trip with their kids when everything changed. What started as a normal getaway quickly turned into something no one could have prepared for. Eric suddenly became very ill and was unable to function normally.

When they returned home, Eric saw his doctor, who immediately sent him for a CT scan. The results revealed a 5-inch mass attached to his abdomen. After further testing, including a biopsy and PET scan, Eric was diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma—an aggressive form of cancer that, unfortunately, cannot be treated with surgery.

For six weeks, Eric was able to receive 40% of his regular pay from work, which helped cover some bills, but that support has now run out. Mandy and Eric have a beautiful blended family of four children—Eric’s two (ages 12 and 16) and Mandy’s two (ages 14 and 17). With Eric unable to work and Mandy juggling work, full-time caregiving, hospital visits, and keeping things together at home, expenses are piling up quickly.

Eric recently turned 42, and despite everything he’s facing, he continues to stay positive and strong for his family. He’s an incredible husband, father, stepfather, brother-in-law, and friend. Anyone who knows Eric knows he’s the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone else in need—no matter his own circumstances.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

We’re putting our pride aside and asking for help for this amazing family as they navigate the toughest challenge of their lives. Any donation—no matter how small—will make a difference in helping them cover medical expenses, household bills, and basic needs while Eric focuses on fighting this disease.
