On August 1, our family experienced a devastating house fire that changed our lives in an instant. Thankfully, my daughter Kaylee and I were not home when it happened, and everyone in our family, including our dog, is safe. Kaylee had left the house less than 15 minutes before the fire began, and I am so incredibly grateful that no one was hurt. Even with that blessing, our home suffered extensive damage, and Kaylee’s bedroom was one of the areas hit the hardest. We lost clothing, furniture, school supplies, personal belongings, and so many special memories that can never be replaced.
This happened just as Kaylee was getting ready to begin her senior year at Nikki Rowe High School. She is a varsity cheerleader, and we had spent the summer preparing for this important season and milestone in her life. Now, instead of focusing on her senior year, we are trying to start over and take care of the immediate needs our family is facing. Donations will help us with essentials like clothing, school and cheer-related items, temporary living expenses, cleanup, and the long process of rebuilding our home and our lives.
I am asking for help for my whole family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference for us. If you are unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser would also mean so much. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, donation, message, and act of kindness we have received. Thank you for supporting my family, Kaylee, and our dog as we work to recover and move forward together.
