Hi, my name is Montse, and I’m asking for help for my dog Enzo.
Enzo has been part of our family for many years, through different homes, countries, and stages of our lives. So many people who have been part of our lives have also known Enzo. He’s been there through everything.
He’s not just a pet. He’s part of our story.
Recently, Enzo was diagnosed with a malignant oral tumor (squamous cell carcinoma) affecting his tongue. This type of cancer is aggressive and invasive, and it requires immediate care and attention.
Right now, he is in Barcelona with my brother, while I am in Los Angeles. And that has been one of the hardest parts of all of this, knowing he’s going through something so serious and not being able to be there with him.
Our decision
After speaking with the vets and understanding the options, we’ve made a very personal decision.
We don’t want to put Enzo through chemotherapy.
Not because we don’t want to fight for him, but because we want to protect his quality of life.
Enzo is already older, and what matters most to us is that he can:
* still run
* still enjoy the sun
* still be himself
We don’t want to take that away from him.
We want him to live this time with dignity, comfort, and happiness, not just treatments that might make him suffer more.
Why we need help
Even without chemotherapy, his care still requires:
* veterinary visits
* tests and monitoring
* medication and pain management
* possible procedures to keep him comfortable
The costs are quickly adding up, and we want to give him the best care possible while keeping his life as normal and joyful as we can.
Why this means so much
Being far away from him makes everything heavier.
Right now, I simply can’t cover these costs on my own.
I’ve tried to figure out every possible way to make it work, taking on more hours, cutting expenses, even considering major changes like giving up my car or moving away, but even with all of that, it’s not enough to cover the treatment he needs.
This is not something I would normally ask for, but right now, I truly need the help.
Closing
Enzo doesn’t know what cancer is.
He only knows that he’s loved.
And we want to make sure he feels that love in every moment he has.
If you can help us in any way, whether by donating or sharing, thank you from the bottom of my heart
