Support for Zoey’s Care & Legal Needs

We are currently involved in a legal process regarding the guardianship and care of Zoey.

Zoey was born prematurely and required intensive medical care, including a NICU stay and surgery. Since her birth—and continuously following her discharge from the hospital on March 29—we have been actively involved in her care and have provided consistent, day-to-day support. This includes feeding, maintaining her medical routine, attending appointments, and ensuring a stable and structured environment for her health and development.

At the time of her birth, CPS and hospital staff were involved, and a guardianship arrangement was established to support Zoey’s safety, medical needs, and overall stability. We were identified as a safe and stable placement, and the guardianship was agreed to at that time as a plan focused on Zoey’s best interests.

Since Zoey’s discharge, Kaylee has not consistently remained in the home and has had multiple periods of absence, including overnight and out-of-home stays. During these times, Zoey has remained in our care, where we have continued to meet all of her daily needs without interruption.

There have been public statements suggesting that Kaylee has been prevented from being involved in Zoey’s life. That is not accurate. Kaylee chose to leave the home and stay elsewhere. Communication regarding Zoey has remained open, updates have been consistently provided, and opportunities for involvement and visitation have been offered.

Due to recent changes in circumstances, we are now facing a legal dispute regarding Zoey’s care and living arrangements. We are seeking legal representation to ensure that decisions continue to reflect Zoey’s best interests—particularly her medical needs, stability, and continuity of care.

We are aware that other fundraising efforts related to this situation may be circulating publicly. We encourage anyone seeking information to rely on verified facts and official documentation as this legal process moves forward.

We are asking for support to help cover necessary legal expenses, including:

- Court filing costs

- Related legal expenses

All funds raised will go directly toward these legal costs.

Our focus remains on providing Zoey with a safe, stable, and consistent environment and ensuring her needs continue to be met.
