Enrique Sara, our dear friend and coworker, has suffered a stroke. He is currently in the ICU and is headed down a long road of recovery and rehabilitation. This was incredibly difficult to hear for those of us that know him and have had the privilege of working with him.
     Enrique is a father and sole provider for his family. He has dedicated himself to his family and has worked very hard to ensure their future. This will be a very difficult period for them. I have no doubt they will pull together and get through this, but we want to help in any way that we can.
     While working in the Regional ED, Enrique exemplifies what we all hope to see if we were ever a patient. Someone who is compassionate, hardworking, intelligent, and will do anything he can to get you treated quickly, and effectively. To Enrique there is no “extra mile”, going above and beyond for every person he cares for is his normal baseline. We, his friends, ask you all that we pull together to help him and his family through these tough times. Let’s all come together as friends, family and a community to help him like he would help us.
