Help Enrique Gonzalez Overcome Brain Surgery Costs

Hello everyone, for those of you that don't know him, I'd like to introduce you to Enrique Gonzalez, a close and personal friend of mine. Well, to be honest, he is more than that. He is like a brother to me. It isn't very often in life that you find friends that would fit that criteria, but if you have ever met Enrique, Keeks as many of his friends call him, I'm sure you would say the same thing. Keeks is a son, brother, husband, and father to a beautiful boy. He is the type of person who is always willing to help out with whatever he can. That was the characteristic that led him to become a paramedic. He has served the El Paso community, working for several EMS agencies, community hospitals, and recently would travel over 12 hours back and forth every week to serve the community of Fort Stockton, Texas. For more than 20 years, Keeks has shown selflessness when treating patients.

And has often gone above and beyond his call of duty by helping with community projects. He is admired by many of his colleagues and doctors whom he has had the opportunity to work with.

Enrique was recently given the unfortunate news of having a mass in his brain. This diagnosis came with the horrible news that he was going to have to endure a surgery and chemotherapy. This, as everyone knows, comes with huge expenses, insurance only covers so much, and it's never enough. So, I made this Gofundme page as a way to give back to a great paramedic and overall an outstanding person. Let him only worry about overcoming this ordeal and not about the finances. Unfortunately, he can't work while he fights through this, but as we all know the expenses of everyday life keep coming. I ask, or challenge I should say, for all the EMS community to come together and help out one of our own...a first responder.
