My name is Rose Acesor, and I’m writing this from the Philippines, where I am by my husband Enrico’s side as he fights the biggest battle of his life.
Enrico has been diagnosed with stage IVB aggressive prostate cancer, stage IB neuroendocrine tumor in the lung, and most recently, a 2 cm brain tumor. One diagnosis was already difficult to take. But to be told that the cancer has spread and continues to grow has been devastating for our entire family.
This journey began last year when we came to the Philippines for what was supposed to be a short vacation. While we were here, Enrico decided to get a check-up. That was when we first received the news that he had prostate cancer. Everything changed from that moment on.
He started his hormonal therapy in the Philippines, and when we returned to Saipan, he continued with his treatment. For a while, we tried to stay hopeful. Then about a year later, during his follow-up CT scan, we learned that the cancer had spread to his ureter and some areas of his bones.
We came back to the Philippines once again for further testing. After a PET scan and an MRI, we were told that Enrico now has a tumor in his brain. That was the hardest news we have had to face so far.
Watching someone you love go through this much is painful beyond words. Through everything, Enrico has remained calm and strong. He is still the same man who has always taken care of us, supported us, and worked hard for our family.
Enrico is not just my husband. He is the father of our four sons, who are 19, 15, 12, and 9 years old. He has always put his family first. Now we are doing our best to be there for him, the same way he has always been there for us.
Our oldest son and I are working to support the family, but the cost of his medical care, tests, and day-to-day needs is more than we can manage alone. It is difficult to ask for help, but right now we need it.
We are asking for support to help cover the growing cost of Enrico’s treatment and care. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean a lot to us. Even sharing this page with others can make a big difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during this difficult time in our lives.
With love and gratitude,
Rose Acesor and my kids.
