Help Enock Summit Mt. Rainier

Donation protected
"As a child, I rarely saw people in wheelchairs enjoying the outdoors and pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible. I'm here to show how important the outdoors, representation, and access are for everyone, regardless of perceived limitations. I hope you consider helping me to my goal of reaching the summit of Mt. Rainier.
Born with Spina Bifida, I am a disabled athlete, adventurer, motivational speaker, and advocate for others with disabilities. Despite not having the use of my legs, I have lived to overcome life's challenges, breaking physical barriers and defying odds. I live by the motto: "If you try, things happen."
Having excelled at wheelchair sports my whole life, I decided to pursue rock climbing as a young adult. It is one of the most challenging and limit-pushing things I have ever experienced. The passing of my friend, Nick Hall, inspired me to try this sport. Nick lost his life performing a rescue.

After hearing the news, I went to Nick's Facebook page. I looked through all the amazing photos of places he had climbed, including Mt. Rainier. I decided that day I would find a way up there to see what Nick had with his own eyes.

After deciding to see the top of Mt. Rainier, I made it my mission to climb at the highest level possible. I attended several trips to the Gunks with Paradox Sports and ultimately completed an ascent of the Zodiac route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

Climbing Mt. Rainier as a person with Spina Bifida is not going to be easy -- I am aware of the challenges ahead of me. Unfortunately, one of the most significant barriers is currently cost. Since I decided that I needed to experience Mt. Rainier beyond just pictures, I have struggled to fund this mission. I have been training with local guides from Synott Mountain Guides to prepare for what I will experience during this adventure. I have also been working with a local engineer, Justin Whitney, to construct a ski apparatus that will allow me to ascend fixed ropes up the Disappointment Cleaver route and ski back down where applicable. I have the ability, drive, motivation, and fire within me, just as I did with El Capitan. Thank you for considering donating and sharing this. Together we can reach new heights."
