Help England Roller Derby get to the 2025 World Cup

Your donation will help our team of 20 skaters, plus our coaches and wider support team, pay for travel to and accommodation at the 2025 Roller Derby World Cup in Innsbruck, Austria.
Our goals
We want to showcase the excellence and talent of English roller derby, and build on our 4th-place finish at the last World Cup to bring home the gold medal this year.
The journey
In July, we head to Innsbruck for the World Cup, skating in three seeding games that will qualify us for the quarter finals — and from there, the semis and the gold medal game.
Before travelling to Austria, the team takes part in four training weekends, which include international friendlies against Teams Scotland, Wales, Spain, France and Sweden — some of our fiercest European competition.
Travel and accommodation is entirely self-funded by our skaters and coaches. We also have an incredibly dedicated volunteer team who are donating their time and skills to support us along the way — including our physical and massage therapists, our coaches, our stats whizzes and our team photographer.
How we’ll use your donations
We want to represent the best of English roller derby, regardless of skaters’ financial circumstances — which is why we need your support! We are raising money through:
- Ticket sales to our games
- Merchandise designed by our skaters
- Sponsorship
However, with World Cup accommodation alone costing over £600 for each skater, we have a big target to hit and appreciate your donations.
We will use donations towards:
- World Cup accommodation & travel for skaters, bench crew and our support team
- Stipends to help offset the costs of training weekends in the UK and Malmö, Sweden for skaters
