Help End Hunger with West Chester Food Cupboard

Our church confirmation class has been tasked with raising awareness and funds to support a local organization or ministry striving to eliminate food insecurity. We chose the West Chester Food Cupboard, which focuses on providing for low income families. Every day the organization gives out food to those in the community who need it and fulfills their mission through kindness and love. Since 2009, the West Chester Food Cupboard has donated over 1 million pounds of food to the community.

Proverbs 19:17 says "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed." We believe this encapsulates the efforts of the food cupboard. Their work reflects the values of hospitality, compassion, and humility that we have been exploring through our confirmation journey.

Our church (Westminster Presbyterian Church) has committed to matching up to $500 of whatever funds we raise. Please help reach our goal!
