Help Enaam Educate Displaced Gaza Children

We are Friends of Sumud School, which has been founded by my friend Enaam Sakallah. We are based in Northampton, Massachusetts in the USA. As we see daily images and reports of the horrifying suffering of the people of Gaza and the West Bank, I think most of us feel a terrible helplessness. The strength and resilience of Palestinians like Enaam give us a glimmer of hope. She is an English teacher who was displaced from Gaza City on October 11, 2023. After more than a year of suffering, loss, and multiple displacements, she and her children survived with no school, no healthcare, and daily challenges to find food and water, as well as the constant danger from air attacks. She started the school in the tent community in Deir el-Balah but they have now returned to their devastated homes in Gaza City. Enaam and her team found an intact building, cleaned and repaired it, registered students and are now holding classes. They need a solar panel to heat the classrooms and badly need desks. Please help!
