My name is Emelyne, but most people know me by Emy. Right now my family and I find ourselves in a tough financial situation. A couple of months back, I started having horrible abdominal pains and when I went in for an ultrasound, a mass was found on my right ovary. Doctors visits, MRIs, scans and more tests showed I have a cyst measuring over 6x5 inches. Due to the size and pain the cyst is causing me, I am going into surgery next week. As with any other ovarian/pelvis surgery, whether it is cancerous or not will not be known until I wake up from the anesthesia. This has been the scariest few weeks my little family has ever gone through and now the financial responsibility is an added layer of unsteadiness. If you know me, you know I do not ask for help unless it is completely necessary… so here I am. If you could please find it in your heart to help me pay for the portions my insurance won’t, it would take one big fear away. A large portion of the 7,000 I am asking for has to be paid up front, before surgery on 11/16/2021.
