*UPDATE*
We have reached our preliminary goal in just 36 hours! Many thanks to you all. We decided to continue the campaign for a few more days just in case there were more generous feeling folks out there. Anything we receive above our goal will go towards furnishing their new place and replacing essentials lost in the sudden home evacuation.
My non-binary cousin, Emory, was in an unhealthy relationship that soured and turned physically abusive, leaving them without a home. The injuries from the abuse landed them in the hospital for several days and have left them with lasting pain, which makes it challenging to move around. On top of the injuries, they already had disabilities, which locked Emory into a low, fixed SSI income. All this makes it challenging to keep emergency funds on hand.

We have been looking for places where Emory can stay near their community and family. And we need your help to cover the costs of moving and temporary lodging.
We are grateful for any amount you can donate to this effort.
With love and gratitude,
Emory & Alex
