Help Emmy Heal and Rebuild After a Life‑Changing Accident

Hi, I’m Chris—Emmy’s mom. I’m asking for help for my 23‑year‑old daughter and her little boy, who just started kindergarten.

What happened

Early Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, Emmy was in a severe car accident. First responders got her to a trauma center in Nashville Tennessee. She required major facial reconstruction, and doctors are still working to save her right eye. Most of the bones on the right side of her face—including her orbital bones, cheekbone, and sinuses—were crushed. She’s being closely monitored for brain injury; so far there’s only been a small bleed. Because of the facial trauma and airway risk, she received a tracheostomy. Only time will tell if they’ll be able to save her right eye.

Doctors say she’s lucky to be alive. Her journey to recovery will be long.

How she’s doing now

Emmy’s sister has been by her side from day one. Against the odds, Emmy is now home and making steady progress—she can get up, walk, and even do a little dancing. That’s my girl: strong, independent, resilient. Still, the road ahead will be hard—physically and emotionally. We’re preparing for the mental health support she’ll need as she adjusts to changes in her appearance and continues to heal.

Why we’re asking for help

Emmy was supposed to start a new job the day after the accident, so she currently has no income. As a single mom living in a small town with no public transportation, she also needs safe, reliable ways to care for her son and get to appointments.

Your gift will help with urgent, practical needs:

  • Medical costs not covered by insurance (reconstruction, eye care, follow‑ups).
  • Safe housing for Emmy and her son—her current situation is temporary and not suitable for recovery.
  • Reliable transportation (a car) to get to medical appointments and take her son to school.
  • Mental health care to support long‑term healing.

Our goal

We’re aiming to raise $50,000 to cover these essentials and keep Emmy’s recovery on track.

How you can help

Donate: Any amount makes a difference and goes directly to Emmy’s care, housing, transportation, and counseling.

Share: Please spread the word with friends, family, and on social media so more people can see Emmy’s story.

Send a message: Your notes of encouragement lift her spirits and remind her she’s not alone.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you for reading and for caring. With your help, we can give Emmy the safety, stability, and support she needs to heal and rebuild life for herself and her little boy.
