Hi, my name is Emmie, and I’m a 14-year-old freshman at Yreka High School. I’m part of FFA (Future Farmers of America), a program that teaches kids like me about agriculture, animal care, leadership, and responsibility. This year, I have the chance to raise my very first goat for the Siskiyou County Fair, where I’ll learn hands-on skills like feeding, grooming, training, and preparing my animal for the show and auction.
Right now, my family is going through a tough time. We moved here from Sacramento after my mom lost her job for standing up against harassment at work, and while she’s working hard to build her own small business here, we’re just barely covering essentials. Because of that, we can’t afford the start-up costs for my goat project on our own.
I’m hoping to raise $750–$1,000 to cover the cost of buying my goat, food, supplies, and show prep. Every donation will help me care for my goat and participate fully in the FFA program, which is something I’ve been dreaming about for years. Thank you so much for supporting me—it means the world!
