My name is Jerry Davis, and I am trying to raise funds for my 2-year-old grandson, Emmett who was just diagnosed with Neuroblastoma yesterday, August 13, 2024. He starts chemo today. Emmett lives in Austin, TX, with his parents, Kim and Michael, along with his loving sister Zoe who is 5 yrs. old and starting kindergarten next week.

The treatment plan will extend from 18-24 months as currently designed. His tumor (near one kidney) has enveloped four major arteries, including the aorta. Surgery to remove the tumor is not possible until the chemo shrinks the tumor. The treatment plan calls for chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, bone marrow transplant(s), stem cell transplant, along with anti-nausea meds and who knows what else may be required. A feeding tube may be needed as he is not currently eating enough to supply the nutrients his little body needs.

After the second round of chemo, he will be transferred to Fort Worth, TX, where they can harvest and freeze stem cells for later use. This could require a stay of 4-6 weeks in Fort Worth. The family will need help to cover travel, meals, and lodging costs while in Fort Worth in addition to medical costs not covered by insurance. Grandparents will stay with Zoe to take care of her and get her started in kindergarten.
