Support For Emmett and Debbie After Their Horrific Tragedy

Hello. My name is Cindy (Bahr) Miller from Wichita. My sister is Debbie (Bahr) Johnson from Kechi, a suburb of Wichita. Debbie’s husband is Emmett Johnson.

Emmett was doing a kindhearted favor for a widowed neighbor lady recently on Saturday, August 10, by cutting down some branches out of her tree to prevent damage to her fence. He was on a tall step ladder and the branch he was cutting came down, hit the ladder and knocked him off. He fell face first into the ground, and his neck was fractured as well as his nose. He required stitches on his right eyebrow and across the bridge of his nose. Emmett is paralyzed from his neck down. He is on a ventilator and also has a feeding tube in place. He is currently in Wesley Hospital in Wichita in SICU.

The mounting costs of medical bills, insurance, co-pays, non-covered expenses and lost wages will result in a stressful financial situation. Please consider giving to help relieve the burden of some of these costs for Debbie and Emmett, and enable them to focus their full attention on both the physical and mental healing and decisions that they have in front of them.
