My name is Mia, I am fundraising for my little sister. On November 21st, my younger sister was involved in a severe car accident that she almost lost her life to, the people she got into the accident with left her alone for hour’s, which led her to walk on her broken him & make it worse. She cried for help & had to wait hours for an ambulance alone.

She fractured her hip & leg by landing on the left side of her body which damaged her muscles, broke her hip bone and received over 30 stitches for. She experienced immense, serious pain during her surgery in which they imperatively placed screws into her bones to avoid Avascular necrosis, which would have caused her to lose her entire leg. 

As of right now, she is recovering and will be unable to walk - let alone work - within the next month. She will not be physically able to pay her rent and uncovered medical bills. She is in debt of over 250,000$ at the moment, her physician refuses to take her insurance. 

As I am currently trying to find a lawyer based in NYC, I am using all the recourses I have. Some things cannot be done alone & require the support of community. I am reaching out to my friends, family & people who may have the means to help - either financially or physically (by sharing & getting the word out). Please help my family and I meet our financial goals in supporting my little sister, Emme. She is only 20 years old with medical bills and rehab expenses that are not covered by insurance.
