Help Emmanuel Fight Cancer and Eviction

Hello, I’m Emmanuel Wilson. Ten weeks ago, I collapsed in my car while trying to pick up my two daughters, ages 12 and 9, from school. I remained unconscious for nearly three hours before a school staff member found me and called 911. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed me with multiple myeloma—a blood cancer that had already affected my kidneys. They immediately started me on dialysis three times a week and scheduled weekly chemotherapy infusions. During my treatment at the hospital, my hip—already weakened by cancer—fractured, making each step excruciating.

I spent ten weeks in the hospital fighting for every breath. When I was discharged on May 23, I returned home to find an eviction notice because I’m behind on rent. My treatments leave me too weak to work, and my savings have evaporated under mounting medical bills. Now I face the terrifying reality of losing my apartment. If I’m evicted, I’ll be homeless with nowhere safe to recover from dialysis or chemotherapy. Missing even a single treatment could be life-ending.

To make things even more painful, my wife and I are no longer together. My daughters now live with their mother. Their laughter and hugs are my greatest motivation, and I dream of providing a stable home where they feel safe and can visit whenever they wish. Right now, my only focus is staying alive and preventing eviction so I can continue my treatments.

I urgently need help staying in my apartment and keeping up with medical costs. Every day, I rely on dialysis and chemotherapy to survive. Without a safe place to rest between treatments, and without the means to pay for ongoing medical care, I risk falling behind in both rent and vital healthcare expenses.

If you can help, please consider contributing whatever you’re able—whether that’s a small donation or simply sharing this campaign with your network. Even a brief mention to friends, family, or coworkers can connect me to someone willing to lend a hand. Your support will allow me to focus on healing instead of worrying about where I’ll sleep or how I’ll get my next treatment.

I long for the day my daughters can run through this apartment again—laughing, playing, and knowing their father is safe and in good health. Your compassion isn’t just keeping a roof over my head; it’s preserving the hope that our family can be reunited under better circumstances. From the bottom of my heart and every cell in my weary body, thank you. Your generosity gives me a fighting chance, a place to call home, and the strength to keep fighting for my daughters and myself.

With deep gratitude and hope,
Emmanuel Wilson
