Emmalynn was born with a rare heart defect: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome with Heterotaxy complex. She is just 26 days old and facing a critical medical challenge. EmmaLynn needs the Norwood Procedure, a complex heart surgery, but was denied by Strong hospital due to the high risk involved. Now, her parents, Brooke and Patrick, are searching out of state for a pediatric cardiologist who can perform the surgery and give EmmaLynn a fighting chance.

The family has been staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester since EmmaLynn was born, and both Brooke and Patrick have been out of work to be by her side. On top of the medical crisis, Patrick's car is currently at the shop, and they don't know if it can be fixed, making travel even more difficult as they seek specialized care.
