Hi! My name is Emmalee Witzel and I’m reaching out for support as I pursue an incredible opportunity that I have worked my entire life for: attending NYU (New York University).

I was recently admitted as a transfer student for pre-law and it has been such a journey to achieve this goal. But with that said, I need help to make it a reality.

Growing up, I always believed in the power of education to change lives. From a young age, I’ve been passionate about history/law school, and attending NYU will allow me to fully explore and develop my skills. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity, contributing to my community, and eventually giving back to help others pursue their dreams.

Unfortunately, the cost of attending NYU is a significant barrier. Between tuition, housing, books, and other expenses, it’s more than I can manage on my own. From the past year, I have tried working 30+ hours on top of my 23 units of school, but two close relatives of mine recently passed away which has brought many parts of my life to a pause.

With that said, this is why I’ve created a GoFundMe—to ask for support, kindness, and understanding from those who know what it’s like to work so hard towards something, only for life to throw something at you. And as we all know, the best thing we can do is to keep fighting back.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to this goal. Your support will not only help cover financial costs but also allow me to focus fully on my studies and more importantly, my family.
