Help Emma Recover from NSW Flash Floodings
Donation protected
Hi there!
First of all, thank you for taking a little time out of your day to land on this page! Many of you will know me or know of me; for those who don't, my name is Virgil, and I am a friend of Emma.
Unfortunately, many others, including Emma, are currently feeling the full force of the Flash Flooding in Northern NSW. The events are unfolding, and the full impact of loss to the region is unknown.
For those who don't know, Emma has set up a temporary home in the Tweed Shire region, where all her belongings were being stored. Emma has been back and forward in Brisbane for work.
Early this morning, she received news that Tweed Shire received an evacuation order and a record breaking major flood warning from emergency services. With that knowledge, Emma decided to race home to try and save as much as she could. Unfortunately, she did not make it in time, and everything she has owned is now lost, including her day to day vehicle.
As I'm typing this, Emma is currently attempting to track back to a temporary location until the highway is clear of floods, with only the clothes she has on her back.
Many of you know that Emma, as much as we love her, is a stubborn, beautiful human who is the type to never ask for help, and she will probably hate me once she learns of this.
I'm reaching out far and wide and to those who can, appreciating everyone's circumstances during these unprecedented times, to help Emma get back on her feet, no matter how little the donation.
I know she will be overwhelmed with all your support and love. Everyone, please stay safe!
P.S. Apologies for the low-resolution photo / YouTube video. It's all we have while the circumstances are still occurring. However, just for context, that's a two-storey level house with all Emma's belongings on ground level.
