Help Emma Kick Cancer in the Butt!
Emma Rose was living her best life with Amy lee as her momma and Greg as her dad! She was described as the happiest baby, always smiling, loving music and happy to see people. She loved swimming in the pool and the ocean and always loved snuggles with her family. Her little life was disrupted when she was brought to Boston Children's Hospital and after the initial harrowing days, 11 Month old Emma Rose was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia after suffering from enlarged organs and unusually high red blood cells. She had a pic line placed in her arm which will allow for future treatments, she will also have an extended hospital stay and undergo treatment for 2-4 years with steroids and cancer drugs. Her first chemo treatment was administered through a spinal tap and she appears to be responding well.
One week prior to her hospital stay, her 37 yr old father Greg suffered a minor stroke which has affected his eyes. Testing was in a holding pattern until Emma's diagnosis and now he is undergoing a series of tests to determine if and what underlying issues might have contributed to his stroke. With his attention on his daughter, he has not yet returned to work.
Our family has been overwhelmed with the love, support and prayers by many who know this beautiful family and our Emma Rose. Many have asked how to help. With the uncertainty of medical bills for treatment, hospital stays and medicines, a contribution is one of the best ways to help. All donations will go to the family.
We appreciate all of the calls, emails and texts. We know that Emma is a little fighter, our little trooper and champ and welcome all of your prayers for this little family.
When donating through the donate button, the gofundme tip does not go to Emma and you can change the amount.
