Help Emma Honore Secure Her Future in the U.S.

Hello, I’m Emma Honore, and I’m originally from France. Since I was just 5 years old, tennis has been my greatest passion. I’ve spent my entire life training, competing, learning, and growing through this sport—and today, it’s the heart of everything I do. Tennis gave me purpose, discipline, and joy—and now, I want to share it with others.

Five years ago, I came to the United States on a Division I college tennis scholarship. I spent those years not only competing at the highest collegiate level, but also growing as a person—learning about American values, building friendships, and discovering a place that started to feel like home. After graduation, I earned my MBA in Marketing here in the U.S., and with it, the opportunity to work under OPT (Optional Practical Training). That’s when I found my calling as a tennis coach at the University School of Jackson.

Coaching here has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Every day, I get to mentor young athletes—not just helping them improve on the court, but guiding them as they grow into confident, passionate, and disciplined people. Watching their transformation and being a small part of their journey is a gift I cherish deeply.

Over these five years, something amazing happened: I fell in love with America. Not just the opportunities, but the spirit of the people, the kindness of the communities, the diversity, and the dreams that feel possible here. I’ve found a beautiful, supportive community that welcomed me with open arms. This country has given me so much—and I want nothing more than to continue giving back through my work with these young athletes.

But now, that dream is at risk. My OPT is ending soon, and to stay in the U.S. and continue this work, I need to apply for an O-1 visa—a special visa for individuals with extraordinary ability. The process is complex and requires professional legal help, which comes at a high cost.

That’s why I’m humbly reaching out. My full fundraising goal is $7,000, which will cover attorney fees and all related visa expenses. You may see a smaller number on the page—that’s because I’ve enabled automatic goal-setting to encourage momentum, but I want to be fully transparent with you.

This isn’t just about paperwork. This is about continuing the life I’ve built, staying with the students I love, and sharing a passion I’ve carried since I was a little girl. I’ve poured my heart into this sport—not just as a player, but as someone who believes deeply in its power to teach confidence, discipline, and resilience. Tennis shaped who I am, and today, nothing brings me more joy than passing that love on to the next generation. It’s about staying in the country that has helped me grow into the person I am today. I want to keep living this dream—coaching, teaching, and contributing to the community that has become my home.

If you believe in second chances, in chasing dreams, or in the power of sports to shape lives, I would be so grateful for your support. No matter the size, your contribution means the world to me—and every dollar brings me one step closer to making this dream a lasting reality.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, sharing, and supporting my journey.
