Emma is an amazing woman that has been through a lot of heartache over the last few years. The run of tragedy started a few years ago. Her eldest daughter had just finished EMT School and was innocently riding home with her brother, Tay and sister, Micah, in Charlottesville, VA. This was no ordinary day in Charlottesville, this day happened to be the day that a Mindless and Racist white supremist rally was taking place. Emma and her family are African American. The 3 siblings were detoured and ended up in the thick of the locals that were protesting the mindless rally. They were waiting at a stop sign when James Fields decided to ram his car into the crowd, rear ending their vehicle and severely injuring her oldest daughter. When the dust settled her daughter was left with a Traumatic Brain Injury and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
Emma and her family were trying to heal from this when tragedy struck once again. Her 31 year old son was playing a video game against an acquaintance of his. They had placed a friendly $100 bet on the game, her son won the game but paid a much larger price. The other man was so angry that he lost the game and the bet that he went to his house and got his firearm. He returned to where her son was and proceeded to shoot and kill him. Her first born son was murdered over a $100 video game bet. The man that murdered him committed the ruthless crime while recording it all on facebook live; Emma endured the horrific nightmare of watching her son get killed, any mother's worst case scenario. Since this has happened Emma has struggled mightily with severe anxiety, depression and PTSD, and has been unable to work a steady job.
Most recently, her car and only means of transportation stopped running. The dealership gave her a quote of $3,500.00 to repair it and get it back on the road. Unfortunately, she still owes a significant amount of money to the lender on this car, so repairing the vehicle is the only option. I am asking for your kind contribution to help this amazingly strong woman get her vehicle back to her and take a step toward getting back on her feet. Whether your contribution is a monetary donation or simply sharing this link and her story in hopes of raising awareness and helping us achieve our goal. If we raise more than the desired $3,500.00, the excess money will go toward paying her vehicle off and helping her to get out of financial debt.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Emma's story and thank you in advance for your contribution. At the end of the day, our greatest resource that we have is each other. We must come together and help each other in times of need and lean on each other when times are tough. Remember, you can have anything in life that you want, if you will just help other people get what they want. Much love, compassion and respect to all.
