Help Emma Fight Diabetes and Pancreatitis

Meet Emma. She's my daughter's best friend. She became a member of our family on my daughter's sixth birthday, and over the intervening 13 years, through four halfway-across-the-country moves, Emma was her constant companion, giving her a sense of stability she might not otherwise have had. Me too, if I'm being honest. I love that little person (dog), and I wasn't even a small dog person when she came home with us!
Now, she's very sick. Without me knowing, she developed diabetes and is now in the dog hospital with pancreatitis. The vet estimates it will cost around $1200, which I do not have, but the alternative is unthinkable. Yes, she is 13, but small dogs like her can live to be upwards of 20. She has a treatable disease, and not only do we love her, but she deserves for us to be as constant for her as she's been for us. I am not going to euthanize her. We'll figure it out.
I know it's Christmas and all of you have your own out-of-nowhere expenses to manage, so I don't expect anyone to help with this. BUT if you have a spare 5, 10, or 20 bucks to help with her care, I can't tell you how much we'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
