Hi, my name is Emma! I’m currently a junior studying Integrated Ministry Studies — with an emphasis in Human Services — at Moody Bible Institute. I hope to pursue camp ministry full-time after graduation, then continue on to get my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My biggest dream is to become a marriage counselor and open my own practice! I never imagined I would be facing cancer while trying to finish my bachelor’s degree.

In November of 2025, I found a lump in my right breast. After several ultrasounds and a breast tissue biopsy, I’ve been told that lump is breast cancer. This has been overwhelming and a bit scary, especially at my age. As I walk through this season of uncertainty, I’m trying to stay grounded in my faith and continue my studies, but it hasn’t been easy. I’ve struggled with uncertainty.

Between doctor visits, imaging, medication, the waiting, and the possibility of even more complex treatments, it’s a lot. Medical bills are already starting to add up. At the same time, I’m working hard to complete my junior year at Moody Bible Institute, where I feel deeply called to grow in my faith and prepare for the future in ministry that God has for me.

Balancing school, health concerns, and finances has become more than I can manage on my own. So I’m asking for financial support to help cover:

* Medical expenses (appointments, imaging, surgery, therapy, and any other necessary treatment).

* School-related costs for my junior year, such as room and board expenses.

* Basic living expenses during this time.
