To our family, friends and supporters, my name is Kimberly Ann Gozum, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart to share our family’s story and ask for your support.

Just before her 7th birthday in 2021, our beloved daughter, Emma Alenianah now 11 years old, has been diagnosed with chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), a rare autoimmune disorder that affects her blood’s ability to clot and puts her at constant risk of severe bleeding.

Watching our daughter endure frequent hospital visits, treatments, and the emotional toll of a chronic illness has been incredibly challenging. Despite her strength and resilience, her condition requires ongoing medical care , specialist visits, medications, and sometimes emergency interventions. All of which come with significant financial strain.

Her pediatrician has urgently advised us to seek immediate off-island treatment. Local medical options cannot provide the specialized care she needs. With her platelets at 33, it is dangerously low, putting her at constant risk of uncontrollable bleeding.
