Help Emma continue discerning the Religious Life

Hello everyone, my name is Emma Sisk and I am from Co. Tipperary, Ireland. I am on the right in the picture above, not in the habit obviously (...yet!) I am fundraising to help cover some upcoming costs that will allow me to discern my vocation.

I began to seriously discern the Religious Life in January 2023 (...this was totally unexpected!) and shortly after this I felt the Lord ask me to stop working and to take some time out so that I could really focus on prayer and deepening my relationship with Him, particularly through Eucharistic Adoration. In September 2023, I started a 12-month discernment programme with the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in Drogheda, Ireland. I moved to Drogheda to be near the Sisters and to share in their day-to-day life. I have loved my time with the Sisters, sharing in their prayer life and serving alongside them in their work with the poor and the youth in Drogheda. I have had the best year of my life here and I have been deeply impacted by the example and witness of the Sisters throughout the year. The programme has been an incredible gift and blessing to me and has shown me the beauty of what Religious Life really is (...it's nothing like I had imagined!).

I am now nearing the end of my year with the Sisters in Drogheda and the Lord has revealed my next step. This September I will move to Atlantic City to continue my discernment with the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal in America.

My parents have been incredibly generous and supportive of my discernment over the last 18 months and will continue to support me. Not wishing to overburden them, I have decided to set up this fundraiser because there are some costs for the upcoming year that I need help and support with:
