Hi everyone! My name is Emma Welch and I’m a sophomore in high school. This summer 2025, I’m going on a service trip with Global Works to Costa Rica. I’m raising money to buy and deliver basic medical supplies to the communities I’ll visit.

I’ll be volunteering in local clinics and shadowing medical professionals. I’ll also learn medical skills and hope to gain certifications in Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and Mental Health First Aid.

I’m really lucky to be able to go on a trip like this to explore my interest in medicine and mental health. Because of that, I’d like to raise this money to do more and help those communities.

Global Works partners with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) who provided a list of items I can bring and donate. The list includes thermometers, OTC medicines, masks/gloves, gauze pads, etc. I’m raising money to buy and bring these items with me.
