I’m organizing Emily’s Toys Fore Kids with my family to help children in foster care have a brighter Christmas. This toy drive has deep meaning for us. In 2017, after our family adopted my daughter Emily from foster care, my son Alexander (AJ) Pace started Golf Fore Kids, a charity golf outing and Christmas toy drive for kids in foster care around metro Detroit. This year, Emily is leading the drive, and it means so much to see her giving back in this way. We are raising funds to support children served by Homes for Black Children in Detroit, and if additional partner agencies join this season, we will use the funds to help the children they serve as well.

We are collecting donations through December 10. After that, Emily will go on a Christmas shopping spree in Michigan, buy the toys herself, and drop them off at the partner agencies before Christmas. Every dollar donated will go directly toward buying new Christmas toys, mostly in the $10 to $30 range. If you would rather choose a toy yourself, you can also support the drive through our Amazon wish list, which ships directly to Homes for Black Children. Any amount helps, and sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family helps just as much.
