My husband has built his life in the United States in an honest, lawful, and exemplary way. He is a bilingual professional with a work permit, a Social Security number, and a solid formal work history. He was working for a U.S.-based multinational company.

Above all, he is a hardworking man, a loving husband, and a devoted father to our two daughters, ages 10 and 1. He has never had a criminal record or any issues with the law.

On May 4th, while I was attending a routine immigration appointment, he accompanied me solely to help translate, as I do not speak English well. My husband had no pending appointments nor was he being sought for any reason. However, after asking both of us for information, they told him he needed to return alone the next day. He went calmly, trusting that he had nothing to fear and believing it was a normal part of the process. Instead, he was detained by ICE.

We deeply feel that everything happened during an unjust and painful process that has now separated our family.

Since that day, our lives have completely changed. He was the primary provider for our household, and now we are struggling to cover our basic needs and everything that has resulted from this injustice.
