Help Emily’s children to put a headstone on

Hello all. 

I am Emily’s best friend.  I have known Emily since we were at school. 

I am creating this as Emily’s grave is starting to look very tired. She passed away in 2015 still in her 20’s and left behind 4 beautiful children. 2 boys and 2 girls. Emily have also adopted her husband's 2 girls that was in care, so that put it up to six children that called her mum

Emily was diagnosed with head and neck cancer in November 2013. Emily underwent a 15hour operation in hope that is would remove the tumours in her neck. After this she endured weeks of chemo and radiotherapy. And we got some good news that she was in remission. Unfortunately that didn’t last for long. The cancer was back and this time it was terminal. This was heartbreaking for everybody that new Emily and especially her family.  Emily planned her wedding and got married in January 2015 and also planned her funeral.  She was such a kind hearted and strong woman.  Shortly after getting married they went as a family to rainbows hospice where she sadly passed away a few weeks later on the 20th February 2015 she passed away. a year after Emily passed away her mum also passed away after being poorly for some time. Not only did the children loose their mum but also their grandparent. 

The family have been unable to afford to have a proper head stone put on and I am wanting to be able to raise enough funds to be able to do this for them. The children should have something that will last and be able to remind them to have something nice to look at when visiting there mum. The original wooden cross is there but how much nicer would it look to have nice headstone.  This story is enough to melt anyone’s heart. Those poor children lost there mum and they were all under 10. 

let’s give them something nice to look at when they visit there mum. Any money left over I will put in a trust fund for when they turn 18
