Many of you know me - my name is Emily Lawson-Bulten.

Beginning in January I have had a series of medical problems and been passed from doctor to specialist to doctor and so on. While I am still seeking a medical diagnosis, one 'side affect' has been alopecia universalis (AKA I lost all of my hair).

I'm asking for financial assistance here for medical costs due to shifting insurances (meaning two out-of-pocket premiums), travel and stay costs for visiting the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and a wig (wow! I never knew they cost so much!). As a doctoral candidate looking for a job in this new market, I can use all the confidence I can get.

Life has been...a lot this year. I'm trying to learn to reach out, be vulnerable, and lean on community. Thank you for whatever support (financial or not) you can provide.
