Have you ever had a health problem that changed your life, even just temporarily? I'm putting together this fundraiser for my long-time friend from childhood, Emily. In 2014, after her second child, we noticed Emily's gait had changed and she began to have falls. After years and multiple Doctors she finally got diagnosed with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, HSP. She progressed from stiffness and stumbling to difficulty walking and falling. At this point, Emily walks, minimally, with walking sticks and has grab bars installed around her home. HSP is progressive, but there are things that can help. Emily would like to spend 5 days working with the team at Northwest Functional Neurology in Portland, OR in hopes she could have some relief from the fatigue, stiffness and lack of coordination. Please help us reach our goal so she can have a better quality of life!
