Hi friends and family!

My name is Emily. I am a (as my daughter would say) brave single mama of 2.

I am extremely strong-willed in many ways!!!

I love my children beyond words. I am a fighter through and through. No matter what life throws at me, I run right through it and do my best to face it head on.

Unfortunately, after a grueling 9 months of on and off sickness and unexplained symptoms, negative tests, no answers, a 6-day hospital stay with 25 blood draws, even a lumbar puncture etc etc… I have been diagnosed with Leukemia.

As I am writing this we are headed to Houston, TX to MD Anderson to further confirm this diagnosis of Leukemia and to see what phase of Leukemia I am in.

They accepted my application to become a new patient within 3 hours of submitting paperwork.

My diagnosis has not come easy… even after expecting and suspecting it for several months now. My worry for my children is my greatest concern right now. I am so thankful for family that has been able to step up and really help me care for my precious kids during this difficult time.

I am here to raise money for gas money, hotel stays (we will be in Houston for 5-6 days.. for now) food, medical needs, getting a disability lawyer, and ultimately and most importantly money for my children and whatever they may need and or want and those helping during this time.

I will be updating my journey throughout the process and I am very hopeful for remission.
